2.1 Speaker System, What do you have?

614 Views 13 Replies 12 Participants Last post by  stumped
My Cyber Acoustic 2.1 system is on its last leg and we are looking to replace it soon.

I would spend up to about $50 and it would be for just about everything, movies, gamings, music, etc.

I have been looking around and have heard good things about the Logitech X-240 system. I like the adjustable bass from the woofer and the mp3 plugin dock, although the dock isn't that important, just another input apart from the PC one.

So, anyone have any experience with this system or can recommend another one that would be worth my money?

AV123 X-LS Encores with an X-Sub (2.1) powered by NAD 2200 PE Power amp, fueled through Millet MAX and Alien DAC (about $2K)
HAHA hellscream. I have a Millet Max as well. Only prob is I'm getting a ton of noise from the computer through the front panel jack on my HT claro. Sadly my Bdynamic 770's seem to sound flat too. Underwhelming bass.

I used to use a Monsoon Planar 14 2.1 system. It used ribbon speakers and sounded AMAZING. Only downfall is its not made anymore and was $150.00
I have two Creative T20 speakers at my desk, they are very good, with very clear and great bass sounds (about 90 euro)!
Also my souncard is secondary connected to a Pioneer amplifier and two B&W speakers in the room that I use if I want real loud sound playing one of my games.

Best regards, Kodiak.
I'm using a set of some generic 2.1 speakers I bought from china. Its been working great for about 1 1/2 years.

Got those the other nite. Am so happy I got them
I have the X-530, which is the about the same with the x-240, only with 5.1
I find it the Logitech x- series the best price/performance because they have pretty good sound quality and the powerful wooden subwoofer. There are many 5 star ratings on newegg.com for any Logitech X series speaker set.
I have 2 different 2.1 sets. I got a Klipsch Promedia 2.1 broken for about 20 dollars at a flea market and it cost 8 dollars for me to fix it, so I got it for 28 dollars (good deal? XD). I think it costs about 141 dollars new. I also have a Logitech Z3 with the same problem. I'm not sure how much it's worth and I've been too lazy too fix it.
i have the JBL creature II speakers and they are awesome sounding. only like $40 when i got them (like 2 years ago)
