hey guys i can get a PAIR (2) of eVga 7600 GT video cards for 140 dollars. i had my heart set on a 7900GT i saw on ebay for 180 shipped BUYitNOw but i was too late and the seller sold them all. i was wondering if i should pick up these 7600GTs at this price and will it stack up to the 7900GT? again, i ask because i had my heart set on a 7900GT and the average price i see them for is out of my price range im willing to spend 170-180 on a nice video card.

there you go. In benches 7600gt sli will out perform both the 7900gt and the 7950gt. But that's only true in sli supported apps, in single gpu games like halflife 2: ep1 it'll get thrashed by the likes of single 7950gt and 7900gt.

A pair of 7600gt's for 140. killer deal. Hope it works for ya.
SLI will outpace a 7900gt and wont use the same amount of power draw either (I may be wrong). The fans on all are loud.

Dude get em either way and sell em for 100 a piece right here on OC.n Give me a link and I will do if you dont want to lol. I would get them if I were you and I would try and sell them for enough to get a brand new XFX or EVGA for the warranty. XFX offers a double warranty so if you ever sell it then that person will still be covered allowing for a higher sell price. Seriously sell em and get this.

He's right. The 7600GT SLIs beat a single 7900GT in 3D Mark, but they performe marginally lower in actual games. Gotta look past the benchmarks.

The 7600 GTs SLI will do just about anything you want them to for a solid year or more, until DX10 takes hold.

Get for the deal and sell for buy it now 100+15-20 for shipping. Then get a 1900 or 7900 whatever lol. Those cards used are at least a 100 dollars on ebay and you can most likely get slightly more here. Seriously thats what I would do.

with more games that are coming out supporting multi-gpu those 7600gt's would perform very well, the only times it might lag behind is when you are in very high resolutions - higher than 1600x1200 where the amount of vram really decides the winner in this case.
