What I have found is that it makes no difference in airflow- you're going to push or pull the same amount of air through the core regardless of how many you have pulling or pushing. Currently, I have 2 Antec Tri-speed fans blowing on lowest setting, 2 @ 30CFM each, and I notice no difference in load temps at full blast versus the lowest setting. I think you only need 2 fans, but that's just me.
I notice a 2-3C difference when I have my 2 fans on full blast and turned all of the way down. I think the reason for having the 4 fans is to get more of an even airflow? I dunoo. The only reason I didn't put 4 fans on mine is I am a cheap bastard.
