2 Great AM3 mobos to choose from!

Which do I get?

My current set-up:
XFX 5770 (will crossfire, doubt I would go farther than 2 gpus total)
OCZ ModXStream 700w Psu

So which motherboard to get?
GIGABYTE GA-MA790FXT-UD5P
MSI 790FX-GD70

Undecided on memory as well:
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (PC3 16000)
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series (PC3 12800)
They both seem to be marketed for intel mobo, but I'm new and don't know much on how to change BIOS settings. 1 out of 10, how hard will it be? I mean I should be able to do it, because I believe in myself! I really want to learn as much as I can on here, and would love to OC my gpu/cpu/memory some day!

I think the msi has more/better features, I have no personal experience, from looking at specs (quadfire ftw).

And both mobos would detect the ram and run properly.
Can't go wrong with either motherboard. Whatever suits you. If you need plan on running 3 or more cards for Crossfire, then that MSI is for you. If not, then Gigabyte.

As for the ram, I think the G. Skill Ripjaw 1600 is a good kit. It has tighter timings.

If you want to learn how to how to change the BIOS setting, you must have a computer first!

Hope this helps, and good luck!

MSI all the way. I love the Gigabyte Board...well actually...if you wait, Gigabyte is releasing and updated version called the GA-MA790FXTP-UD5H or something like that...it will have SATA 3 and USB 3

As far as RAM goes, I'd get one of these if you can't get the 2Ghz ones

If you don't want to wait on this new Gigabyte board that is being releases as mentioned above then go with the MSI board...

It's cheaper whilst holding X4 Crossfire over the Gigabyte board's sockets...not to mention the MSI board looks a bit nicer IMO with its sleek black and blue color scheme...that Gigabyte board definitely isn't the most appealing

However i find the Gigabyte board's with the crazy lego like color scheme to be somewhat appealing

Of course you shouldn't choose your board based on looks but come on its really no contest to go with the MSI board
