Hello, i have a xfx 7970 black edition gpu. when i was installing it i realized i dont have a 8 pin connector but i have a 6 pin (two in total) i need one 6 pin and one 8 pin. is there any other way to get the 8 pin because it says i cant connect 2x6pin to 1x8pin can i use 2 molex to one 8 pin the reason i am asking is because i have herd it can catch fire. my psu is xfx 750w pro core edition full wired. Thanks

According to your manual you have what your need.
You have plenty...

1 Cable has 6pin plus 2 pin attached = 8 pin
1 Cable has 6 pin
These cables are fixed to you main power supply cable....
Plug these in...

Power supply :
Fixed 6+2-pin PCI-E:2
Fixed 6-pin PCI-E:2

HD 7970GPU requirements:
Requirements
External Power - 6-Pins:1
External Power - 8-Pins:1
