Howdy folks,

I have two quick questions with regards to my Nvidia 7800GS. I did a quick search and have trolled google but couldn't find the answer I was looking for.

1. Dual Monitor Support. Is there a way to force it so Windows recognises the 2nd monitor so I can have my desktop setup on both, but still as individual desktops\\monitors? If I use the Nvidia Control panel, I can setup the second monitor, but it will only "clone" or "stretch" the desktop (Forcing windows into thinking I have one big monitor). Normally you can just do this via the Control Panel by enabling the Secondary Display, but because the Nvidia software/drivers force Windows into thinking you have one large monitor instead of two seperate monitors, it doesn't give you that option. Is this something that a driver/BIOS flash would fix, or is that kind of setup unsupported on the card?

2. I am looking at OC' the card, and was wondering what the best tool/software was to use for that?

Also, could someone recommend what the best drivers are for the card (either Nvidia or tweaked drivers)?

but #2, best overclocking tool is rivatuner(http://www.guru3d.com/category/rivatuner/)
also make sure to monitor your temperatures, use HWmonitor(http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php)

Hey mate thanks for the reply.
#1 I had a quick read through that thread before, but it didn't really help me. I can get the monitors to display fine using the Clone or Stretch type setups, but can't seem to get them setup so Windows recognises them as seperate monitors (in fact the nVidia software says that it forces windows to see them as one large monitor). Maybe its a limitation of the card itself? If anyone else has any ideas that would be great

#2. Cheers mate, I will get Rivatuner tonight and give it a go. I was using Ntune but have read alot of negative things about using it..haha

Thanks heaps for the help thus far

*Bump*

Does anyone have any ideas about the first question?? All I want to do is have the dual monitors setup, but not as Cloned or Stretched, but as two seperate monitors with the desktop Extended (like you can with most other dual monitor setups)
