in otherwards....NO. for the same money, a good A64 will beat it in games.

The dual zeons are good for a server platform, but as adas said, the AMD64 would be the best option for gaming.

There really is no reason for a home user to be running the xeons.

I think Photoshop and 3ds support dual processor. Some expensive video editing program supports it. As for gaming future games (few years) will proberbly support dual core as intel and amd is planing on releasing dual core chips. As for now if you buy dual xeon you are pretty much limited to boring activities
