20" normal screen or widescreen?

I'm debating on whether or not to get a regular sized 20" monitor or a widescreen monitor. For some reason I was hearing bad things about widescreen monitors, but I don't know why. Any suggestions?

Widescreen monitor are best for watching DVD's, but I'm not sure about games. I would recommend widescreen.
Widescreen. Almost all games support WS anyway....and if they don't, there are plenty of ways around it.
I would go with a widescreen. A lot of nice features and games are benefiting from widescreen and only more and more will start to benefit from it. Widescreen will replace normal aspect ratio like color replaced black and white, overtime.
Alright, widescreen it is then. Thanks for the hella quick responses, lol.
WS! You get to see more in games and depending on your resolution you can take advantage with high end cards.
Widescreen...FTW

2 usb ports, headphone jack, built-in speakers {who uses them}
1000:1 contrast ratio, and 12ms response + its wall mountable w/ included hardware.
I'm using my Dell Ultrasharp 20" widescreen as we speak
lol. Just installed it like 20 minutes ago.
