23" MONITOR will crossfired 5770's do the job ?

I am looking to upgrade my graphics, I play Crysis @ 1600x1050 and 1920x1080.
I don't plan on getting a bigger monitor for quite a while so will a pair of 5770's get me solid frame rates or should I go a 5850 ?.

Thanks in advance.

I have a 5870, and a 23" monitor. It smokes everything in 1920x1080. And the fact that 2x 5770 CF is faster than the 5870, should speak for itself. Yes: it will do the job, and then some.
Sorry up all night..
5770 CF = 1 5850. I got my thinking wrong.
Cheers guys, ok here comes the dumb question.
Will dx 11 go easier on graphics cards than say DX 10?, I just want to make sure that I won't be shooting myself in the foot come DX11.
I imagine there will be a similar effect like the change from DX9 to DX10.1. For example, when the 4890 was running HAWX in DX9 it hat X FPS but when it was running in DX10 mode it had X+ FPS.

I reckon there will be some gains on DX11 but also loses if you set 20 million gagillion AA

Although DX11 will naturally be a little more demanding than DX10, 2x 5770 CF should handle its workload in games just fine. I'm pretty sure some DX11 games will even have an option of running the game in DX10 / DX10.1 mode, if it's too demanding in DX11. But if I were you, I'd think about ditching that X2 6000+, and throwing a Phenom II in your board before anything.

Nice, Me personally I don't use AA at all I cannot stand how blurry it makes the image but I use AF.

He is right. If you CF 5770 you cpu will slow down those 5770 in CF.
