24+4 pin psu to a 24 pin motherboard?

will it work im gettin this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=antec%20basiq which has a 20+4 pin to mothboard while my motherboard has a 24pin. Do i need an adapter orsomething? My specs amd 4400 2.3ghz 2gigs ram and 9800gt evga.

Most PSUs sold today are the 20+4pin type. That means they are compatible with 20pin and 24 pin motherboards. You are fine.
Yes, the 20+4 means it can be used for 20 pin or 24 pin.
1. It will run the system fine
2. This is what it will look like, they have 20+4 pin because some older systems use only 20pin but that's rare anymore.

so i just connect the 20pin then add the 4 pin on there?

I hope you aren't buying the BP500 at Newegg, $65 shipped is a rip-off.
and 20+4 = 24pin, so do the math also

When you connect to 20pin to the motherboard if there is 4 pins left open on the motherboard connect the 4pin to it and it will be fine
