27" TV Resolution Lower than 22"?

My 27" tv has a lower resolution than a smaller computer monitor at 22". My resolution is 1360x768 and a 22" monitor is 1920x1080. Do I get more FPS in games then it even though I have a larger screen and why is it lower. I hook mine through VGA

you will get higher fps with the 22"....and it will look sharper.

but not knowing you system specs.............
Now why would a higher resolution yield higher frame rates? That would be false.

Definitely a better image quality with higher res, but lower FPS.

Guys he has an LCD TV, not a CRT TV and he wants to know why the TV has a lower resolution than the monitor.

The simple answer is the monitor is much better than the TV> The TV is only HD Ready and not "full HD READY" unlike the monitor.

I wouldn't worry too much about it but you need to read about screen resolutions somewhat as you appear to be under the impression that bigger screen = bigger resolution.

I understand completely, I just woke up and I'm crabby as usual. So you were the first one to get slammed today. LOL

Getting back to the monitors.

Yes, LCD televisions & computer monitors come with different resolutions regardless of the actual screen size. LCD computer monitors are usually consistant but not always... Televisions are all over the place. But most newer televisions are most likely 1920x1080 even the smaller ones. 720p is slowing being phased out.

Thanks for the info guys as long as I get more FPS even with a larger screen!. I dont care about larger resolution and sharpness because tbh I dont see the difference or its a small one (to me)
