I'm not impressed by Noctua's other fans, but the NF-12 is nice. It wont win any contests for cfm or static pressure, but it's adequate in both and surprisingly quiet at 1000-1200rpm. I prefer Scythes in general, but like the NF12 as my heatsink fan since I can trust pwm to have its way with it and it wont get loud. Worth it? I dunno. $30 is too much even for that fan, though. Can be had closer to 20. also I dont know how well it performs in push/pull matched with a dissimilar fan.
