Can it be done, or has it been done. If it has how well does it work?. I can't seem to find any reference to crossfinity on the 5770's, only 5870's.

Does your 5770 have a displayport I/O? If it does then it can do Eyefinity. You can also do Eyefinity with monitors that don't have a displayport I/O if you buy a Displayport to hdmi/DVI dongle/cable.

Yes, it does, just wanted to make sure that eyefinity would work even with crossfire enabled. I mainly play bfbc2 and lotro casually so i am not expecting great framerates, just hopefully playable. either across 3x 1280x1024 or 3x 1680x1050 depending on what i can get.

I believe so....If the drivers allow you to.

Dang software getting in the way of hardware again.

One of these days AMD will release a solid, reliable driver package.
One of these days.....

Yes it'll work just fine. The driver issues are for Crossfire setups in general, not Eyefinity. So if you're not experiencing issues already, you likely won't with Eyefinity.

Wonderful, I am behind on the times I guess, or just wasn't reading right several months ago. I was under the impression it wasn't possible.

You should put 'Quad-fire' in your system specs.
CrossfireX describes 2 GPU's.
Trifire for 3.

No, Crossfire essentially uses the second cards gpu to supplement the primary card. You would not be able to attach monitors to both of the cards at the same time.

You're completely wrong. CrossFireX is any multi-GPU setup that consist of AMD GPUs.

Trifire and Quadfire doesn't really exist. The proper term is "3-way CrossFireX" and "4-way CrossFireX". If it's only a dual GPU setup, people usually refer it as CrossFireX only.
