The 2 5890's will be just less than 2 5870's.
You could overclock your 5850 and get close to the same performance as a 5870 and it's free.
2x 5970 = (the performance of) 3x 5870.
If thats helps you out.

Why sell CF 5850's?
They easily crush even Crysis.

Two 5850's will do more than anything than there already is, why do you need more??

I already have them clocked there, I just like to play around with more toys, Like the poster above said, I got money and I like to play around with new toys, then again, who doesn't ?

5870 have more shaders.

That being said op, it's not worth it to go from 5850s to 5870s. If you want to upgrade, go all the way to 5970s.

2x 5970 is useless unless you game at 2560 X 1600. If you absolutely must upgrade, go for the 5870's.

2x 5970's will run you like 1.2k

You could get a great computer for that much heh. But that would be quite literally top of the line performance.

And I will be running 2x 5970 with 2560x1600 once my new 30 inch comes in from newegg.

So it is a custom space heater?
You should try eyefinity with 3 2560x1600 screens that would be insane!

If you overclock 2 5850s you'll get better performance then 2 5870s. (& 5850s can be more easily overclocked and overclocked more than 5870s)

XFX's voltage tuning utility doesn't work with 64 bit OSs, you might want to rethink that purchase.

I can vouch for this; I had a 5870 with 3 30" inch monitors and it was insane. I'll let you know when i get 1 5970 how it is, but I think your money would be better spent on 1 card and more monitors!

Edit: On topic, wouldn't three overclocked 5870's beat two 5970's? or would a single 5970 and single 5870 be better? I always thought trifire generally outperformed quadfire, no?
