So I'm planning on selling my 4x4gb g.skill ripjaw DDR3 1866 ram @1.5v because it isn't enough ram. I moved from a lga 1366 build and I was using all 24gb of my ram while editing. I plan on getting 2x8gb for now and then getting the second kit when it's on sale/I have the money. I'm able to sell my ram for 60 x 2 dollars, so I really don't mind paying @120-170 for ram, but I don't want to if I don't need to.
Amazon has a $95 deal for 2x8gb kingston HyperX @1.35v 1600. However, it was green and it didn't fit with my cases' color scheme. I looked at the g.skill sniper, they looked pleasing, however as I looked down the line I saw the CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) , and the Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop . The dominator ram is 20 dollars more, however is it worth it? Or is it just cosmetics? Or will the corsair ram will be able to reach the same speeds.
