How significant is the extra 500mhz going from 3.5 to 4.0? For ex. how many fps increase in games? How many minutes/seconds less when encoding video's? etc...

the arctic freeze pro 7 isnt that great. if youd get a scythe mugen 2 or a megahalems you can easily make 4ghz on air

i guess it strongly denends on your gpu,kind of app/game and what kind of cpu with 4ghz..
for your 8800gt, 3.5ghz is more than enough.. even for my gtx285 in some games/apps
in encoding you will get about 8% ?!.. i only can guess that but i think i´m not far from it.
