I was wondering the performance difference of 3 way sli gtx 260 vs a single gtx 295?

3x gtx 260 will win. the 295 will BARELY beat 2xgtx 260 as it is just 2x gtx 260 with 24SP extra per core.
1 GTX295 will use WAY less power though. Like half as much as tri sli GTX 260.
sorry for the double post
GTX260 tri sli is better than GTX295 but scale may be not that good. GTX260 is a 182w GPU so make sure psu is able to handle them.
I say go TRI SLI. I have have 3 260's and it's awesome to game with. Synthetic benchies are nice but kicking every games ass is killer.
get tri sli and a physx card and show off your e-peen

Tri-SLI all the way
tri-sli if your a major gamer, overlocker, or bench freak. if your not one of the three go single save the money, because you don't know when the next time you wanna upgrade would be!

Tri-SLI GTX260-216's will utterly rape a single GTX295
SLI GTX260-216's will still rape a single GTX295.

Go for the Tri-SLI.

TRI SLI will kill the GTX 295.
No bad tri sli dose not scale well expressly with games if you are going to try an sli set up i would sli 2 285gtx because they will scale a lot better and cost less and consume less power. Will the 260 do better in tri sli than a 295 yes but most games dont benefit much from tri sli and sli is better from a cost stand point so go for two 285 in sli not tri sli the 260 ok.
