The stock operating frequency is 2.0 on that chip right? I am running a 3700+ DTR clawhammer right now. Clawhammers need a lot of volts for a good OC, you can probably get it stable at 2.4~2.5 with 1.6 vcore, and you might be able to get it stable at 2.6~2.7 with 1.7-1.75 vcore. Good luck!

Some do, but the newer revisions are amlost Itendical to the 3000 DTR's. Do you have a CPU-Z screenshot handy? I need to know the stepping and revision of the chip to get an accurate OC prediction.

My 3700+ wouldn't be stable @ 2.8 (400 mhz oc) with anything less then 1.65Vcore. With water cooling he can run it with 1.7-1.75 and not even have to worry. If he wants a 700-800 mhz OC stable, it will most likely take 1.7+ volts IMO.
