so i have finally chosen to get a 3570k for my first build and now im stuck on a monitor.

i have narrowed it down to the asus vs238h-p or the vs239h-p. the only difference i see is that the 39 is an ips panel.
but on ebay i can get the 38 for around 50-60 dollars cheaper than the 39.
il be playing fps games like bf3 with my friends just for fun. il also be playing alot of dayz, my graphics card is going to be a gtx 680.

so what should i get? i wont be playing competetivly. the 38 has a response time of 2ms and the 39 has a response time of 5ms.

so is it worth an extra 60?

dont know if this matters or not but i have been using the same laptop for the last 2 years with screen resolution of 1366 by 768 so anything will look ALOT better to me.

response time 2 vs response time 5 says it all

the 5ms will take more than double the time to generate pixels

with that being said, find another 2ms one to compare vs buying

But just for the record, I have the IPS model of the Asus, and I recommend it over non-IPS monitors.
i heard the ips was alot better. but the non ips is 2ms and im also on a tight budget.
