It's a great core. you can do 2.75Ghz no problem and with good colling you can push 3.0Ghz on the right V.core

Recently i ordered a ADA3500CGBOX , AMD 64 AHTLON , I ordered it off a website called NEWEGG, the processor is advertised on as being the "VENICE" core, 939, 512kb cache. I recieved it and it registers as a "MANCHESTER" core(CPUID)(CPUZ).? My understanding is that the "VENICE" core is a better core and it was my belief that the "MANCHESTER" was a cheapier core designed for inexpensive X2 processors. Im confused, I didn't know that the "MANCHESTER" was used for non X2 processors, and why alot of distrubitors are advertising this model number(ADA3500CGBOX) as a "VENICE" core if it's clearly not. Thanks in advance for your help. |
The Processors with an OPN that got the CG surfix are Manchesters Rev. BH-E4 and the ones with a CF surfix are Toledos Rev. JH-E6, in both cases an entire Core is disable. Because Manchester and Toledo are two Venices and two San Diegos in the same piece of silicon respectively, if you disable an entire Core from these, then you get the same performance than a Venice or San Diego with the same specifications. |
