3870X2 for $50 worth it?

The topic pretty much says it, my friend offered me his 3870X2 for $50, just wondering how that would perform against my 9800GT and if it is worth the $50.

I have a 22" screen, and I play the following games.

All games are at 1080p resolutions.

Bioshock
Cod4
TF2
CSS
Oblivion
And just recently Crysis

Yes, definitely worth it. They run for over 130 retail.

Yes it is worth it. 3870 CF is pretty strong and can outpace an 8800GTS (G92), so it should be the same as the 9800GT.

UM....YES!

I had a 3870x2 before this GTX 280, and to me they "felt" about the same in games that I play.

Thanks for the help guys, I am going to buy it then and keep my 9800gt as a back up

He actually offered me two but I don't have $100 to spend ATM, and I think it will be overkill for my system anyway.

LOL, wow I was definitely not expecting these responses. I am definitely getting it then, hands down.

Its brand is Visiontek by the way, can they be trusted? He told me it has lifetime warranty and its still under it since he hasn't done anything to it.

i'd buy it even at $100.

from your card, you should be able to get a huge performance improvement.

edit: and visiontek? their warranty's a winner.

He told me he wants me to test it out before I pay anything, so next weekend hes coming over and hopefully all goes well.

My motherboard is meant for an ATi setup anyways
