I ran 3DMark05 while monitoring the CPU utilization with the task manager. I've got a 3800x2 at 260x10=2.6 Ghz, RAM 1:1. I heard that the latest drivers from nVidia were "more dual-core friendly" so I was curious as to how much they helped. I'm not sure of scores, but here's the CPU Utilization graph. Obviously dual-core hasen't been completely supported yet, as the second core never reached 100%. The highest "total" CPU utilization was around 71%. So while the first core hovered around 100%, the second never went above 35%.

One question: Is 3DMark06 multi-threaded for dual-core processors? Or does it have more to do with the drivers, directx, and Windows?

I have read that '06 is more "dual core" ready. Try running PCMark05 and monitor it the same way. It is a more cpu based test than 3dmark which is mostly a graphics test.
