I just ran 3DMark05 on my ATI Radeon X850 Pro and would like to know if the results are typical or great. I am running stock 500/500 and flashed the bios from 12 pipes to 16 pipes.

3DMARK05 = 5473

Thanks

I would say thats pretty good, it depends on your settings for your video card...catalyst ai on advanced, mipmap detail etc., but 5400 is good, I get around 5900 with catalyst a.i. on advanced and mipmap detail on quality instead of high quality

This thread ties close relationships with my problem thread!
Likewise, I'm experiencing the same problem. w/Stock speeds+16 pipes, I received scores of 5500 in 3DMARK05. I tested again with overclocked speeds of 540C/560M and resulted 5650...
I tested with highest performance catlyst settings and removed background programs in the desktop. Help would be most appreciated.

Mabye I misunderstood the point of this thread, but ~5500 3dmark05 scores seem about right for your hardware.

Compared to my x800pro it seems kinda low too. 12 pipes @ 575/575 got it over 5900 today. Saw a gain of over 100 points by flashing my moboard bios to the latest revision. Doing so also increased my aquamark score by 3000 points. Make sure you have the latest drivers and bios versions for all your hardware!

Maybe the CPU is slowing you down but before assuming, try checking your catlyst drivers (if you have them). By lowering all settings under 3D category to the Highest Performance specs will allow more points in 3DMARK05! (I encountered the same problem, turning it down really helps!)

If my upper paragraph is absolutely unecessary, I will assume it's your computer. I have the same problem. Having a weak processor locks your benchmarks completely limited. I received scores of 5500 and others reached 6700 thus processor + motherboard plays an imporant role!

3dmark05 -> 5888 - 1024x768 NoAA/NoAF
3dmark05 -> 5020 - 1024x768 4AA/8AF

ATI X800 Pro -> X800 XT PE 510/516 - 16 pipes

P4-3.0G / ASUS P5P800 / 2.0G [1->2G didnt affect score for me]

I too have an x800 pro, unflashed at 550/535 and receive 5888 in 3dm05. I found lowering my OC actually helped my score a bit..........at 575/550 with no artifacts I scored 5200, by lowering my clocks a bit received a 688 point increase. Toy around with the clocks a bit see what works best for you

I get a little over 7100 running the x850xt at 600/633 using NGO drivers. You should be able to clock your card higher.

looks like an old cpu with an old motherboard....not too good
would suggest a new system, but keep the ram and gfx card
