Ok, I have been trying to get a sound card for quite a while now. This would be my third time "trying" to get one. 1st time was a ebay doa fiasco, the second I blame on USPS being lame. Now lets hope 3rd time is a charm. Well I got offered a Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCIe for my old MCR220, good trade? Or should I hold off and use my onboard HD? I read that this X-Fi is just a rebadged Audigy 4. Lemme know what ya'll think.

its a rebadge of mine hence

i'm not sure if its a good trade though, just for the fact i'm not aware of prices on used products. i just know mine is dirt cheap new and used lol

Yeah I can pick up a PCI Audigy 4 at Walmart for $27 out the door.......
Seems like a fair trade to me. Prices are fairly similar. Apparently that sound carad is supposed to be good.
Not worth it. It is a rebadge Audigy SE which in turn closer to a Soundblaster Live! 24-bit card. A real Audigy 4 card is MUCH better.

IMO, a X-Fi Xtreme Audio should be worth $10-20.

Seconded.

The Xtreme Audio is absolute crap.
