Update (Aug 5th): I will be wrapping this thread up by tomorrow, 8:00PM PST.
NOTE: it is because of Mmansueto's kindness that I am giving these away. i am just "Paying it forward!"
I went ahead and ordered some 3x1Gb DDR3 1333 just because they were so cheap, and I wanted to see how they OCed. So I got them in yesterday and OCed them to 1600 Cas9 at 1.55v vdimm. Now that I've had my fun, I want to give this kit so someone who is planning to do an i7 or AMD DDR3 build.
My goal is to make the upgrade a little less painful, and hopefully help someone out with their new i7/AM3 build.
So the rule is simple, post your i7/AM3 build and you will be entered in to win this kit. I will anounce the winner next Thursday night. And please, only post if you are actually going to use this ram. Note these are Corsair kits. You can see more info on the CPU-Z SS.
here is some info on the ram (note these modules OCed to 1611 were not even warm to the touch.. they run very cool):
