Its not that I totally don't believe you, its just that on this forum most people will want proof of a stable OC. Stable at 4 ghz is awesome! And more awesome with a little proof.

Im in volt limits!! I could actually get it higher, or even lower the volts, i just set it to max volts and 4.25Ghz for the heck of it, i still havent had time to go and play around with it

I dont believe in putting my processor through unneeded stress and high temps to brag about an overclock being "stable" If i can play games and run 3dmark06 without a problem, its stable enough for me! As i said i havent had time to play around with 4.25ghz

Stable Proof
Go ahead run your OC like that, but don't come back when you CPU dies

mine is 3.8ghz stable, using my xiggy.

last time i checked, i was right under the volt limit...i tried 4.0ghz on her, but either my memory or my motherboard told me to go to hell basically, and it wouldn't stable boot. i am happy with 3.8ghz.

New motherboard (UD3P) on the way, so I should be able to get >4Ghz then. as for now, highest has been 4Ghz, but not quite stable. check links in my sig

Actually, if you read the intel specs, 1.36 is perfectly safe, and won't harm it. It's the safe limit, not the limit.

Currently my E7200 sits at 4.00ghx. Can not seem to get it stable past that for some reason. Maybe a nasty fbs wall. No idea. But I have been tweaking, it wants to post at 4.25 but I dont want to overvolt it too much 8)

I have my E7200 stable at 3,515 GHz 370x9.5 using 1.3375V (BIOS), resulting in a monitored voltage of 1.35/1.36 as stated by CPU-Z.
My memory is also overclocked from 800 MHz DDR2 to 889 MHz DDR2. I had to go all the way to 2.10V for the memory and 1.32V for my northbridge,

I recommend you test separately for memory (Memtest86), cpu (Prime95 small FFT) and overall (Prime95 blend). This way, you can isolate the problem and add voltage where needed.

Hope this helps!

Before i reinstall vista i am thinking really hard about lapping my cpu to get my temps down a bit more. I would like to push my cpu a bit more or just make it run cooler haha. I will be doing both my cpu and my heatsink if i do it

ooo..will try it now..but i've been testing..set bios vcore up to 1.4026v..finally got stable in 10min OCCTv3.0.1 test..cpuz state vcore 1.376v..ddr oso oc to 889mhz @ 2.1v..is tht vcore save for 24/7 ??? i read an article said vcore 1.4v is still within safe range...oso, temp 41C idle,63C load

you don't need to or want to, overvolt the pci-e slot EVER unless you absolutly half to (like if you have a 2.0 pci-e card in a 1.0 slot, sometimes you have to do this) keep it at default, also make sure your pci-e speed is set to 100mhz, not auto, auto does weird things.

yes, the (G)MCH is what we are talking about that should be your bridges, you fsb voltage will more than likely need to be bumped up as well., let me reboot, and look at my bios, for the settings i have.
