Hey peeps, I started folding 2 days ago! But I LOVE IT ALREADY!! My dad got into it too! well not really.. hes trying to find aliens.. lol

But I am folding and saving lives! I got some money for my 2nd rig. I want to start a small farm!

I have my (2) GTX 260's at home, trying to fold.. i keep getting BSOD due to nividia issues. Any help there? Only one card is folding at the moment, as I havn't made a dummy plug yet.. but it BSOD, I use the GPU2, with the Nividia special one.

Also, on my 2nd rig, What motherboard do you buy, to get 4 cards on it? I've seen 4 9600GSO in a farm before!!!!

Should I go with a 780i, and get 2 more 8800GT (2nd rig has 1 8800GT and a E7200 in it now)?

thanks!

Thank you
Seems pretty cheap too. What about the BSOD, I can't fix that darn thing...

Ya there all gone, some guy sold them each 50$.
I would not suggest the P6N. There are issues with that board and it seems to be generally unstable. I would suggest the AMD MSI K9A2 Plat. which I have had good luck with.

Hm, Rather not go AMD... and have to spend more money, What about a cheap 780i? and put 3 8800GT on it? i get 4.5k PPD with 1 8800GT, thats not too bad.

You said you used the Special Nvidia viewer. Thats the problem. Dont use that one. Use the regular GPU2 client or the GPU console. Dont forget to extend your desktop as well.

As for cards, I would look into GTS 250, used 9800GTX/GTX+ as they yield higher PPD and you can find them relatively cheap.
