Ok guys, so here's the deal:
I currently own a 42" 120HZ LCD Insignia t.v. from BestBuy. It has some issues with the PU and the mobo causing horrible tearing. I was offered credit at my local BestBuy to exchange it.
I mainly play Counter-Strike and I want to get something better for gaming. With 700 or so dollars at BestBuy, would I be better off purchasing another ~40" T.V. and upgrading, or purchasing a normal sized 24"-27" monitor (or 2-3) because I have to use all the credit.
Things I dislike about this 42"
Contrast ratio (Darkspots in CS are really dark, and changing my contrast just makes them even harder to see).
Refresh rate (limited to 60hz even though it is a 120hz t.v.)
Desk space - I just moved into my dorm at my college, so I don't really have a whole lot. I don't mind using it all for normal monitors, but the stand on my t.v. takes up a good 1'x1' area in which I could be putting other things or moving my keyboard when I need to do handwritten homework.
Also, if you guys would be so kind, could you possibly link monitors that you think I should purchase based on gaming specs from the BestBuy website? I honestly hate asking OCN to do this kind of stuff for me, but I am approaching the second set of midterms and I don't have alot of time ATM.

Just thought of something else: 120hz is a must
edit: I was thinking of getting 1 or 2 of these
Viewsonic 27" Monitor
Or, I could get 1 of those and buy some other crap from BestBuy (computer upgrades??)
Suggestions would be awesome
