I think the toledo is the best bet. The extra L2 cache will be nice and you should be able to oc it past the 4600 really easily.

That's what I thought, but you can always think of it also like "You could also overclock that 4600+ to a 4800+"

lol...

But yeah, the L2 cache is nice, I just didn't know which would be worth more. The extra speed, or the extra L2 cache.

I ve had my 4400+ at 2.65ghz for 6months or so never had a error, never had a problem...stock cooling, idles at 28-30 c and full load gets to 40-42c .upgrading to a 5000+ tho hope that one is a nice differance.

I faced the same delima when I was purchasing my processor, I got the Toledo because of it's Cache. You can always overclock at Toledo to 2.6GHz and get the best of both. So, yeah, not really a whole lot to stress about, basically the same so it doesn't really matter. But, I picked the Toledo for it's larger cache size.

Haha, I lol'ed.

But I would bump it up to the Opty 175. It's still $10 cheaper than the 4400+.

But what makes the Opterons better than the Athlons?

They usually overclock a lot with low vcore.
