4800+ to 5600+, worth it?

I mostly play games and I am looking to put a little more ummph! into my pc before I replace it out right in the next year or so (Planning on turning it into a lan at my house 2nd machine at that point). Currently I am running the setup you can see in my sig, with a 4800+ processor. The best processor I can put in is a 5600+ which has a larger l2 cache and 300mhz more processing power per core.

The 5600+ going for $66 on newegg, I am wondering if it would be worth it for me to get one and pop it in or will the improvement not be enough to make much of a difference?

Are you overclocking or stock? if your overclocking whats your clocks at?
Cannot overclock with my mobo, and I don't want to change the mobo. So no overclocking the processor, just the GPU

You should get a new motherboard.

Yeah that's the plan, but when I get a new motherboard I am getting a new everything, just looking for an incremental upgrade atm.

If possible, I would go for Phenom or a 7-series Athlon. K8-dualcore to K8-dualcore isn't really that much of an upgrade, especially when you'll only be running it at stock clocks.
Absolutely not worth it unless the above mentioned 7750BE is compatible. Otherwise just go with a new mobo that supports your current + new CPU.
No, i'd say it's not worth the upgrade especially for $66.

you might as well just hold on and do the whole upgrade as you mentioned.
