Recently I gather a few used and new parts to build a budget rig for a total of 190
to get me back to the gaming for the snow season
Here's the list
Opteron 1212 2.0Ghz used
ADATA 1GB DDR2-800 X2 used
4850 512mb used
MSI 740GTM-P25 new
now my question is will this system hugely bottlenecked the 4850 with o/c to a conservative 2.5Ghz (that's what i'm planning, don't want to get too fancy and push the used cpu too hard)
also, will I be fine with a MSI K9N6PGM2-V (nForce430 chipset) to save an additional $7
instead of the MSI 740GTM-P25 740G (a rebadged 690G) or I will be better off with the 740G? not running any RAID or any sort
and lastly, is the opty 1212 equals to a X2 4200+?(in gaming and daily computing) or some what better? and say if I o/c it to 2.5G is it somewhat in the range of a X2 5200+?
Thanks for any info
