4850x2 not displaying

I just installed the ati radeon 4850x2 and i do not get an image on my monitor. I installed my old graphics card and it worked fine. I then proceeded to install vista and then swapped my 4850x2 and tried to run it and nothing happened. The comp gives a beep but nothing shows up on the monitor. I turned off the computer and wiggled the 4850x2 a little and then restarted my computer and it worked. I then installed the MOBO drivers and the 4850x2 drivers. I then turned off my computer and unplugged everything and moved it away from my desk to put the side panels back on. When I plugged everything back in and turn on my comp the same thing is happening. The comp gives a beep but nothing displays on the monitor.

Is there anything I can do or do I have a bad 4850x2?

I just reinstalled the video card again and the fans on the 4850x2 turned on then off. I then wiggled the card the fans on the card turned back on and it started to work. I am now afraid of moving my computer because it might not work again. Should I return the replace the 4850x2?

I would RMA the card, seems like you got a bad one. Before that make sure the card is seated correctly and firmly.
Did you try in the 2nd PCI-E slot?

Also, ATi set aside drivers specifically for the 4850 X2's, did you grab the ones designed for it or just the regular 4800-series ones?
Probably the video card. Go RMA it just to be sure. Hopefully the port on the mobo isn't too loose.
Check your 8pin and 6pin pci power plugs to the card. Try plugging your monitor in the other dvi ports on the card. You should get video outside of windows regard of driver and/or if you have any drivers installed at all.

I got it to work...

First the plugs were not seated right.
Then, I realized after I started it up and let it run windows eventually appeared. I was in the dvi port for monitor 3 so nothing was displaying until windows prompted for my password.

Thanks for your help
