it is the ati drivers they have always been on the frits try looking for driver updates. or just do a full reinstall of the drivers
4870 Crashing with DX10 tests...

Problem: My system is 100 percent stable with the overclock either 4870 can handle every stress test furmark etc and temperatures are below normal at load but when it comes to dx10 tests it fails most of the time i am using it with def. clocks tried everything to fix it but its the same.Any idea what may cause this problem ?

Just installed an old CCC and 3dmark vantage worked perfectly will start other bench and stress programs and report back

5 th run in a row no problems with latest CCC and driver too if i come to a possible conclusion S.T.A.L.K.E.R benchmark causes these crashes(it installs various directx packages and dxdiag shows my dx version as 11)
