Hey all,

A buddy of mine just sold me his OCZ reapers (2x2 @ 800Mhz) and I decided to sacrifice 266mhz to pair them up with my reapers.

The difference is that I have 4x1 @ 1150 (PC9200) but was only running them at 1066 for my overclock.

I removed 2 sticks and replaced them with the 2x2's and set my RAM speed at 800mhz.

I'm wondering if that's a smart move?

I also noticed something odd in CPU-Z.

It reports that the 2x2's are only running at 333 (667) and that my 2x1's are running at 400 (800).

Can anyone shed some light?

Hi there. This is strange, pls post a pic of CPU-Z i can`t belive it...
And setting the MHz is only half of the job!
What (stock) timings do these different guys have.
The timings should be the same otherwise it is very ???(no words found)
for your system to handle this.
It`s not a good idea to mix RAMs with different MHz and different timings.
If your old are say (e.g.) [email protected] but have [email protected] and your new ones are 5-5-5-15 then it would be less "confusing" for your system and you.
Anyway wasn`t a good idea imo. But will change my mind after you psoted some infos about timings

rail: How you proof that -> The game runs better if you got only 4GB instead of 6GB...

I'd have to say your having conflicting hardware there... not sure... did you try each kit separately at 800mhz?

These are the JEDEC standarts for your RAM and not the actual values they are running @. Under the memory tab there you find the real settings!
Edit: First pic doesn`t work maybe you got the "memory" tab there posted...
Edit2: The memory in Slot #1 is 666Mhz rated not 800!
Was this a good friend?

Edit3: sorry my bad this is the 1150ish RAM
Edit4: But i see where it goes. With a bit luck you can run them @800MHz with 5-5-5-15.
If you are not lucky then maybe 6-6-6-18. But i hope you get the 15ish solution.
This shouldn`t be that bad and your mobo doesn`t run them @different speeds. It just took the values of the slowest and used these settings for both.
I recomend to enter these values manually and not hope that the mobo will do it right (a.k.a. [auto]

I'm pretty sure you're showing us the memories configured speed/timings and not the acutal speed timings.

Show us the memory tab and not the speed tab

Edit was ninja'd but he's correct.

there was a problem with my img link, but I fixed it, do you see the difference I was speaking of? (under max bandwidth)

BIOS says 800mhz, can't boot at 1066mhz with the mismatches... not sure what I should do...
