Anyone know of such thing?

I know Sharkoon has one for 2.5" drives:

But obviously, I need one for 3.5" drives.

They are called hot-swap bays.

There are different types.... 1-6 drives, tray/trayless, with/without fan.

HP has one, but it's proprietary. I think they call it pocket media drive.

I have 8 drives, so I'd need two 4-drive 'hot-swap' bays.

I actually found one from Sharkoon that has 3, but it's not sold ANYWHERE.

I already searched Newegg, directly from Sharkoon's site.. Amazon, as well.

There are dozens of companies that make hot swap bays. They have been used in servers for over a decade.

Expect to pay $70-100 for a 4-bay trayless bay with a fan.

I was under the impression that only Sharkoon made them. Not sure why.

If the drive density is greater than 1 per bay slot, I recommend a built-in fan. (i.e. 4 HDDs in 3 bays)
