I w

I thought that the GTX280 was 65nm and the GTX285 was 55nm. My GPU-Z validation says my GTX280 is a 55nm.

I have read alot about there being 55nm gtx280's after the 55nm 260's

That'd be odd considering the only architecture difference between a 280 and 285 is the die shrink.

Probably a GPUz error.
It is a GPUZ error get version 0.3.2 it recognized my 55nm GTX 260 after that update.
it is.. GPU-Z 0.3.2 or it wouldnt have let me validate. http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/7bug6/

can someone with a gtx280 please post there validation
Wait so you already have the newest version and it still says 65nm, I'm confused do you have the 280 or the 285?

It reads my 55nm 260's at 65nm.

Well then... lol I was just wondering if someone could tell me there was an actual error or if someone could say "Yeah there are 55nm gtx280 out there"
best way to check .. is test your oc capability and temps
if you get pretty good temps as in the 60's and it ocs good then it MAY be a 55nm
734 MHz 1306 MHz 1580 MHz
50C Idle 65CLoad sometimes 70. I am Using EVGA voltage tuner and up the voltage to 1225
The way I knew for sure that mine was 55nm before I got the GPU-Z update was to look at the revison, the new 55nm GTX 260's are B1 revison. The 65nm are an older revision (can't remember which one)

Google and see if you can find out what the new revision is for the 55nm GTx 285's, and then you will know for sure.

EDIT: HAHA thank you GeforeGTS, I had no Idea if the revision was the same for the 55nm 260 and 285's, Thank you

If the revision in GPUZ is A2 then it is a 65nm card, the 55nm cards B1.
