Yes, and in CF those cards do really well.

EDIT-wait, you have a 9800GT.... dont upgrade to that card. I would recommend 5850

That should be a reference.
So yeah, its straight from ATI.
Performance wise a single 5770 equals about a 512mb 4870.
CF'ed 5770's equal about a 5870.
Its your choice.

yup its a great card for the price. can't be beat in value in terms of a modern gpu.
if and when you crossfire them, they scale incredibly well

not worth the upgrade for you, i would just save that money or sell the 9800gt and then get a 5850 like someone else mentioned

ok guys, thanks for the input. rep+ to all. i think i may as well hold off just now as i cant afford cf till the new year, so i`ll save the cash for now

Yeah, the 5770 isn't really a big improvement over that 9800GT you already have. I'd go for a 5850.

Wrong. I had a 4870 512mb. 4870 are faster but CF 5770 at 950/1300 is wonderful to have.

Are you sure it's stable?
Also, isn't the default voltage 1.125v?
Last, what are you using for fan speed at 960/1400?

This is the Sapphire card with the egg shaped cooler, right? What do you think of that cooler?

Just curious because I went with the same card for a friend's build recently and it hasn't been set up yet.

The egg cooler is miserable.
It only cools the gpu (doesn't cool it well either) and it blows all this hot air everywhere in the case.
It is quiet though.

LOl at everyone saying no and to buy a 5850 etc etc. Why buy a 5850 when you can get 2x5770's for cheaper that will be on par with a 5870?

Because some games, more than you'd think, don't support crossfire, including source games. A single GPU solution is better overall, except for maybe benchmarking.

Two 5770's would be more expensive than a single 5850. Performance would be very close as well. Plus with a 5850 you also have the option to crossfire in the future for a large performance boost. With 5770's you're pretty much limited to trifire, as quadfire doesn't scale very well. :/

i sold my 3870 and i want a new gpu and install my first crossfire too, so, i i'm thinking buy a 5770's crossfire or maybe a single 5870 ( the price of this ones are insane!!!) and buy another later

I ran it for hours playing gaming without problems. Fan speed at 75%-90% depending on the game.

I like it. Very quiet at stock.

It is about $30US more than the 5850.
