I can't run it at max settings 4x AA that well at 1600x900 with these 2 cards in Crossfire.
My fps goes down tremendously during explosions, and averages 40-60.
When I turn around I get massive lag spikes.
With crossfire disabled, the framerate is the same, but the game is visually smoother, which means I don't think Crossfire is being supported by this game.

Catalyst A.I. disabled, advanced, and on standard give the same performance as well.

I'm using Catalyst 10.2 at the moment and I was using 10.3 before I switched back to 10.2.
I started using 10.3 preview a few days before the game came out, and switched when I hoped it could give additional performance.

well with my 5970 if i am in a cloud of smoke or an teammates c4 explodes in my face my frame rate also drops to 40 and then shoots up back to 100. Smokes are no joke in this game.

Here's what I think...
100 is about double my fps.
a 5850 is about double my card. A 5970 is about double that, so that means Crossfire might not be working for you.
Also, my fps goes down to about half what yours does with smoke, so when ATI adds it to their profiles, we should both do better xD.

i have one 5770 vapor-x @960 - 1400
and i have an average of 50fps and never drop below 30fps

If you get a new monitor you will notice an FPS increase.

I am bottlenecking my GTX 280 at 144x900, if that gives you an idea.

How are your temperatures? Core temps and GPU temps will greatly determine FPS. I know from experience. Yesterday was pretty hot in Socal and consequently I noticed more lag than usual.

When I'm getting 90-100% scaling, which isn't often :/
Plus it's not awesome at high resolutions.
Basically his 5970 is more than like triple 1 of my cards and is getting about double my frames.

They tweeted they'd add a profile for BFBC2.
My CPU probably isn't the bottleneck, it's a Core i5 @ 3.8ghz.
I doubt 1600x900 is too small, and I think it's the crossfire.
Just wanted people to say their fps on their Xfire or dual-gpu rigs.

Crossfire doesn't help as much at lower res....

*sigh*
It's going to give more than negative 1% performance at 1600x900.
Where Crossfire has worked it hasn't given less than 70% increased performance.
In MW2 it gave double the frames.
It isn't my resolution.
It isn't my CPU.
1600x900 is enough.
I'll pick up a 1080p monitor when I'm satisfied with a single gpu upgrade once I sell these 2 cards.

Not quite. In pretty much every benchmark/game I've seen, 5770*2 basically = 5870. I wonder if your CF is set up right? What drivers you running?

10.2, was using 10.3 but switched back to see if it would help.
Crossfire doesn't work in every game.
It doesn't work in TF2. TF2 doesn't support multi-gpus, and as big of a game that is ;/

Most benchmarks are for bigger games that support crossfire.
Also, if you search for a Crossfire benchmark, you're unlikely to get a benchmark where Crossfire doesn't work, so it seems like Crossfire works all the time.

I hate it >_>
It's not even worth dollar per frame with crossfire because of it's unreliability.

heaven benchmark != any game at all. It's tessellation usage is off the charts, I think even 5970s only get ~60fps. Real games are much better comparison (unless you buy it to run heaven benchmarks(

So, about my resolution, show me a benchmark where you're getting 0% performance improvement at a resolution ABOVE 1440x900 and then are getting an amazing improvement at 1920x1080 (or 1920x1200).

I doubt you could find such a benchmark.
My resolution is pretty decent for Crossfire, where it doesn't look much lower than 1080p, and that improved performance from being a lower resolution also carries over with Crossfire compatibility at the resolution.
