Hey OCN

Ran into a problem and want to clarify I have the right solution

So I have 3 monitors. One is a viewsonic, one is a Samsung syncmaster p2250, and the other is a samsung syncmaster 712n.

I want to hook them all up at the same time to my 5770(I have 2 but yes I know I can only use the first ports) But the new monitor I have which is the 712n is showing up in CCC but is not displaying anything. Ive read I need a powered displayport to vga adapter. Is this correct?

Thanks!

Yes you will need "Active" display adapter in order to use 3 monitors with a 5770.

You will need something like this: Sapphire Active Display Port Adapter

Thanks, thats what I found when searching. any recommendations to a cheap one that will work?
I suggest an Accell Active Display Port to DVI adapter. It's certified, and guaranteed to work, unlike other adapters which others have had problems with in the past.

No problem and like Geglamash said I would also recommend the Accell branded adapter as that is what I use and they work like they should.
