Hey guys,

I got my 5820k running at 4,5ghz at 1.115v.
Im getting with 3d mark at 80% load 64c temps stable.
But my question is, can the voltage im using harm my cpu because im running at low voltage or is that just fine.
Or can i go for lower voltage or higher clocks?

thnx in advance

ps, hopefully i posted in the right section

low voltage won't harm your CPU.

Given the age of your CPU I would go for higher clocks if possible as long as temperatures are kept in reason.

How can it be stable on such low voltage.
My one needed 1.3v for 4.5ghz and 1.35v for 4.6ghz.
Thats was the bear minimam. Next step lower and it wouldnt pass 50 runs of IBT 8gb setting.

Hi,
I hit 1.3v using offset mode with a +0.175 for 4.6+ a bit on 5930k
Not sure i needed the offset mode though
Could probably used adaptive with the same or lower + say +0.125

I have no problem believing that. But 1.1 something volts for 4.5 is highly unlikely. I have 4,5 at 1.29. 45 ring ratio at 1.295.

4.6 with auto ring ratio at 1.32 volts. I've dealt with two other 5820k's and know for a fact that I've been lucky with my cpu, that's why I reacted when somebody claims 4.5 at 1.15 volts. That sounds like auto voltage readout from bios.

Edit: I see he is stating that he is stable while running 3dMark, so I guess I'll take it with a handful of salt.

Hi,
After messing with x299 and 7900xe
I might look at trying other ways to oc x99

And yes I've hit higher or same on 7900xe with a lot less vcore on manual but also using adaptive +0.150
Waiting for some new ram before actually messing with it some
