6800 le? God, how many revisions are they gonna make

If you can get a 9800 pro for $100-$120 get that.

I would not buy anything less than a 68gt if you are thinking about upgrading unless you can get a 98pro for the price I mentioned above and they can be found for this much quite easily. After all the kiddies are upgraded after Christmas you will see a flood of 98pro's and 98xt's on the market which will drive the price down even more.

The 98pro and 98xt were the best of the best of all the last gen cards.

get a 68gt or 68ultra if you want the best now.

I feel I must interject. Isnt the only low priced 9800pro a 128bit version? I think if you want to play the latest games decently you're going to want at least 256bit.

Now, I'm talkin interface, not video memory. Of course more the merrier for vid memory, but the interface SHOULD be 256-bit, otherwise you bottleneck.

the most memory on any vid card is 256mb. There really is no difference between 128mb and 256mb 9800pro in benchmarks. The 256mb version are a waste of money.

The point I am making is save your dough and do not buy anything less than a 6800gt if you are upgrading. There is no point in upgrading to a 9800pro unless you can get it for $100 bucks.

^^^^ He said he is talking about the memory interface, or the bus width of the video card, not the ram. DO NOT BUY A 128-BIT CARD NO MATTER WHAT!
