Possibly an unstable overclock. have you tried it at lower clocks or something? What clocks does this occur at? did you alter the voltage or anything like that?

HERE'S THE PROBLEM........
its not an unstable OC, it is due to the 2D clocks & is driver related.
as soon as you go 1mhz past stock the 2D clocks revert to 157/300 & ''bang'' artifacts everywhere....
ive opened tickets with sapphire & AMD about the matter.

When I select "Manual" fan control, which the thread mentions does nothing with the wrong bios, I can tweak it all the way up to 100% and you can definitely hear the fan rev up. I went ahead and decided to turn off overdrive and un-check the manual fan option and ran a few benches. The fan shows in CC as increasing speed in response to temp rising and you can hear it speed up just fine. Disabling the Overdrive feature in CCC does seem to have fixed the flicker problem.

When I pull up CCC it does show my settings while in 2D as being 157/300 like you mention but the setting alone doesnt seem to cause the issue. Now maybe later on when I decide to tweak the card some more I'll run into the issue you netion but, at least for now, it seems I've solved my problem. If the problem starts showing again I'll update my post

Hello, I had the same problem with a Powercolor 5750 I would get a flicker on my second monitor when I tried to use the Overdrive feature. Turning 'off' fixed flicker but what good is that?
To FIX the flicker and use the overdrive; simply GROUP the 2 monitors together(if u have dual display) To group simply hit the upside down black triangle -> and choose "Create Group" in CCC -> Desktop and Displays.
I stumbled across this while trying to eyefini**** to work, to my surprise you need a monitor with "DisplayPort" which are still pricey or buy a $100 "Active" displayport adapter!!!
Hope this helps. I'd like to know if this fix works for anyone else
