The title says it all, which is better:

(Total - $235)

OR

- $230

And I am getting a 500GB data drive.

Thanks for the advice.

Id go with the 2 drives, 128Gb would be eatin up quicker then you imagine, the extra 70Gb will serve you well, put your OS and main games/programs on the SSD, and the other on the raptor, to be honest I would do a larger, slower drive for the second, but thats just me, something like a 640GB - 1 TB drive

Oh, and I'm also purchasing a 500GB 7200 drive regardless - forgot to mention that.
How much space do
a) Windows 7 Professional N x64
b) Office Professional Plus 2010 32-bit
take up?

Can you tell me where you found size of Windows 7?
Edit: Pro Plus is ~3-4GB

Ive just installed it a couple times and read it around the forums... I round up my estimated space requirements, so I say 20Gb for OS, and 4 GB for Office, really its like 17ish and 3.4... But coming down to the last GB always worries me lol

I think the raptor would kinda be a waste of money really when your planning for SSD anyways. I dont know the actual size when installed on the C300 but I have a 64GB and my useable is 59.6GB, dunno if that helps, but cant imagine they cut 10GB but maybe

Okay, yes that helps a lot.
The 64GB SSD is actually 64,000,000,000 bytes or ~59.5GB (Windows GB = 1024 MB, Manufacturers GB = 1000 MB) A trick is to multiply the listed capacity by 0.93.
So the 128GB SSD will come with 128 * 0.93 or 119.04GB.
Install Windows and Office and I will have 95GB left. Plenty of space.

Yes, it is more than enough (the person who I am building this computer for only uses 80GB for Win7 and all his programs).
Thank you.

I'd say the fastest options would be 2 OCZ vertex 2 64 gigs in RAID 0, they support garbage collection too
