7600gt hangs after overclock

I just overclocked my BFG 7600gt from:

Memory Clock Frq: 1450mh
3d clock Frq: 580Mhz

to:

"""": 1550MH
"""": 630mhz

After doing the overclock, the card is fine, temps about 45* idle and 55* load, however whenever i open up a game E.g. BF2 or NFSC, the card seems to hang.
For example, i will be playing and then all of a sudden everything will freeze incl. the music. The music then stops for about a second and then everything is back to normal and i carry on playing. I sometimes see textures turning black in game and when i return to Nvidia control panel afterwards to look at temps, it shows a huge drop at the exact time the hang happened.

My specs are:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
1GB OCZ Gold
Hiper 580W GT-R
Asus P5B Deluxe
Antec Nine Hundred
Stock 7600gt cooling

Sounds to me that it needs a little voltage boost...Check here for the voltage mod :http://www.overclock.net/faqs/104207...od-pencil.html

Go to your user CP and put your specs in there.

Simply put: Not getting the voltage it needs for those speeds.
method: look in my sig, the XFX one has a link to the reference one.

So by shading those two resistors, it gives me a greater voltage?

Is there any chance that the voltage could be too high and wreck the card or does it rise in proportion to the OC?

The reason i am being so careful is that i have just spent Â£600 on new parts and i cannae afford a new Graphics card!

Sorry for the late reply.....lol
Has anyone Successfully voltmodded a BFG 7600GT OC model? Ive been looking at all the images, and none of them look remotely close to the back of the BFG 7600GT OC. Anyone have images or knows how to do this?
