The more important question will be 'What core will it have.' Since there might be flashing possiblities, however, there might be complications/constrictions across AGP PCI-e card BIOSs. (7800GTX on PCIe might have the same core as the 7800GS on AGP, but the bioss will be incompatible due to the AGP/PCI-e difference...)

Somebody who knows what they are talking about, come quick, bacuase i dont...

I think regardless of what core it will run you won't be able to flash it to anything just because of the fact there are no other 7800 series cards on an AGP interface. To be able to use the PCI-E BIOSes you may have to really work the BIOS to get it to be compatible.

Bingo...I was thinking this as well.

Also, about the pipes:

NVIDIA is showcasing the new 7800 GS to select companies to sell in the future. They say it will be the successor to the 6800 GT/Ultra for AGP owners. They say it'll sport a 375MHz core clock with 256MB of GDDR3 and 256-bit memory interface. Memory at a 1000MHz. All the same technology from a G70 except it'll have 16 pixel pipelines instead of twenty or twenty-four

Where does the 7800gs agp card fall in the rankings of cards? What card does it beat and what card does it fall short of? Thanks, that will help me decide whether or not to go with it.
It's 16 pipeline. Basically it'll be around the performance of the XTPE's. Nothing new.

Unless, You unlock it but then the agp interface won't be able to keep up with the high bandwith this card really requires. So... No point? lol
