1800MHz memory will make it quite expensive. Thats why ATI stayed around 1500MHz for their cards, to keep them cheap.

Lol, I can play almost all games at thier highest settings, and with the release of this card my card is going to jump into the value segment

I highly doubt that. ATi probably couldnt get it stable at 1800mhz. No card manufacturer will downgrade their cards to make them cheap lol. Maybe release two versions, one cheaper and one performance card. Theyre not just going to cut down the performance and not even release the better card.

Im fairly certain ATI could get it stable, but the quantities of GDDR3 that can run 1800MHz arent very high, so ATI decided to ship its X1900XT and XTX with 1450MHz and 1550MHz GDDR3, respectively. Im just assuming ATI did this to play it safe, and not repeat nVidias mistake on the 7800GTX 512MB, where they could not obtain a sufficient number of GDDR3 chips to run at 1700MHz.

So unless nVidia has secured large quantities of GDDR3 that will actually clock at 1800MHz, it would be a wise decision to go with somewhat more conserative memory clocks.
