Tonight I decided to continue my 7900GTO testing with my P5B Deluxe in SLI.
Yes I said SLI....I installed the 85.96 modded drivers for the 7900GTO and ran a single card test, dual card SLI test at stock speeds, and SLI test with the CPU overclocked. For score reference, you can review the previous tests that I ran a few days ago...
Here is a picture of the test set-up:

Just remember that the P5B Deluxe is not the board to do SLI on...the first PCIe slot is running in 8X mode and the second PCIe slot is running in 4X mode. This test would be better on a 975X board but I do not have one in the shop right now....Darn those customers.....

Overclocking with these old drivers in SLI does not appear to be to good...I was starting to see snow at 1500MHz on the memory.....I did not see this with the 91.47 drivers using each card individually. From my experience, overclocking in SLI can lead to some pretty weird results depending on the driver.

The C2D definitely makes a HUGE difference....I am typing this on my 590 system with a 4600+ X2 and it feels slow....funny how just a short time ago this was blazing fast....

I haven't had any corruption issues with SLI (then again I do have the 975x 8x8x chipset).

It could be the 8X 4X thing....It is like snow.....definitely not tearing or anything. I need to investigate this further. I will let you know if I find anything out.
