Just got my new x38 crossfire mobo!


But it has an 8 pin connector next to the cpu socket and I don't have an 8 pin on my psu. What do I do?

ps. I have $0.00 to spend. but i do have some tools, wires, and 3 old power supplies( if i can hax it somehow).

! think is what CPU do you have and second is that only Quads will benefit for 8 pin and thirdly it will worth with just 4 pin.

You can buy adapters that draw power from a molex connector. I'm running a 4pin in an 8pin board with no problems. If I get a quad, I'll probably get that adapter.

You'll be fine with the 4 pin. The 8 pin socket is keyed to take a four or eight pin plug.

Click on the "User CP" link at the top of the page in the middle and scroll down to "Reputation" and click on the arrow on the right side to expand/hide it.

If you don't see the rep section, don't worry, it's down right now for some users but should be back up soon. It doesn't effect any of the rep points you have, or could get.
