<div style="font-style:italic">According to the pc health status in my bios my processor is idling at 80C and my fan is at 1800rpm. It says that my system fan has failed. Im a noob. Is something being read wrong or do i have serious problem?</div>
</div>I'm not disagreeing with a bad seated heatsink but isn't 1800 rpm a little slow?<br />
I think mine is running at 5400 rpm
I was never able to get it to run past 1800 either. And I belive that's the max because with the same fan settings I'm getting 2500RPM on my Arctic Freezer 7 Pro, which is the max fan speed for that cooler.
<img src="/images/smilies/thumb.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Thumb" class="inlineimg" /> <img src="/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Big Grin" class="inlineimg" /> i fixed it. I reset the heatsink and i disabled the fan speed control in the bios. Im idling at 22C <img src="/images/smilies/thumb.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Thumb" class="inlineimg" /> . Thanks everyone
