Limited testing on mine so far I have 5.2 prime95 26.6 with 1.342 pretty stable limited test at this point. AVX is 5.0 stable but temps are high need better cooling or a delid.

I wold be happy with 5.2 with 5.0 AVX if thats all I got seeing how I got mine for $396 not much over 8700k with sales tax of 10.1% here

Anyone else got and results coming in yet?

Here a 8700k is 384.99 so really the mark up in my case was not bad. Thats with sales tax.

short version: 5.0ghz/1.30v bios (1.315-1.32v load peaks). Absolutely happy. I have built at least 10 8700k builds and only 2 of them were able to do 5ghz under 1.40v and ranges of 4.8-4.9ghz with the hard limit of 1.40v on the non-5ghz 8700k's.

---More info---

So far I have only done a quick 30min OCCT test on medium data set and 30min on large data set along with 30mins of Realbench and I am good at 5ghz 1.30v (1.315-1.32v peak load). I can run multiple 5.1ghz runs of cinebench at this volt. 5ghz at 1.28v (1.295v load) failed OCCT large data after 8mins.

Setup is:
Noctua u9s push/pull
Rockitcool delid and copper IHS
z370-i ITX boart
SF600 psu
Caselabs BH2

During the stress testing at 1.30v I peaked 77C in 78F ambient with the cooler at 100%, a 17c reduction in temps with the delid. I think I might switch to the Cerberus or Cerberus-X chassis so I can do a 240/280mm radiator and run this at 5.2ghz or so.

Ok Cinebench r15 5.2 clock 1691 at 5.3 1717 cpu test.

5.3 takes 1.4 volts and I dont want it to run up there 24/7 looks like I can get 5.2 at 1.35 or less if I delid as temps hitting 90C

I did get into windows at 1.41 at 5.4 but Cinebench crashed need to get temps down.

Overall I am pretty happy with this chip so far I do think I will need a AVX offset or 1 maybe 2 but need to get the temps down may trying a AIO over air cooling or delid we will see.

I got a [email protected] using 1.445V (delided, watercooled with EK monoblock on a maximus hero x). I placed an order for the 8086k this weekend and hopefully ill get it tuesday or wednesday. Gonna delid it and put it in the loop asap.
Will report back with how it runs.

I was going to get an 8086k but I really thought about it.

I already have an 8700k that does 5.1GHZ CPU, 5.1GHZ cache at 1.376v while stress testing, RealBench stable, and 4300MHZ 4x8GB memory, RamTest stable, and I'm not sure an 8086k would do better than that.

I got my 8086k now, delided it at once.

Batch# L804E440 - Made in Malaysia

Inside the rockit88 tool

Delided

All cleaned up

Gonna use Cool Laboratory Liqud Pro and a copper IHS from Rockit88.

Didnt have any more time today, so will have to continue tomorrow with installing it in to the loop and get the block back on it :)

haha thats what I did to mine day 1. Just had it in the system long enough to get a baseline. Good luck!

Man you have a nice 8700k. We'll see how other 8086k go but you may not gain much more than MAYBE 100mhz or lower volts at 5.1ghz. I have 3 more 8086k coming in this week but so far they seem well binned from what others have in here (small pool so far).

I keep looking for results to see if the 8086K is worth it over my 8700K.

I am running 5.0Ghz, 1.265v under load with 4.5Ghz cache (tested up to 4.9Ghz so far and it was stable) and DDR4 4000Mhz CL17.

5.2Ghz works for me but required 1.4v which I'm not happy with since I'm not delidded and temps rise under 100% synthetic loads.

5.1Ghz works great at 1.325v.

I ended up settling at 5.0Ghz low voltage for long term life.

Your 8700k is pretty solid, I mean with my stress testing I needed 1.30v for 5ghz on the 8086k. I do not know how you stress test but you will have to play your hand at luck with a better 8086k. I would definitely not buy another 8700k though but you MIGHT get a better bin on the 8086k and might not.

What Cooling setup? And Delided or just as is?

[email protected] is pretty outstanding.

Ive got 5.1 at 1.37v and 47 cache stable with OCCT medium for 30 minutes so far. Trying for 5.2 now, up to 4 minutes. I have another one on the way, first time I have ever played the lottery like this.

This is with 0 AVX, h110i, and no delid.

Got the 8086k installed in to the loop, with the copper ISH on it. Just did a quick and dirty OC on it to see if it would boot and give me a valiation, so i put the core V to 1.44V and the multipler to 54 (on all cores)

Got it running at 5.5gz but with 1.460V, but [email protected] seems like a good choise for 24/7 use :)
